Questions & Answers

How long will the entire logo design process take?

Our goal is to have initial concepts for your review within 3–5 days of the kick-off date. From that point, the timing depends on how long it takes for you to review and get your comments back to us and how many rounds of revisions it takes to finalize the design. Because of our vast expertise, we know how to get to the root of the issue quickly and how to focus an exploration to get the best logo results. However, good work is not created instantly or by simply pushing a ‘create logo’ button. In general, from start to finish, the entire process should take about 2 weeks.

What type of files will you create my new logo in?

Final logo art will be created in the most common file types including vector and bitmapped versions. Specific file types include: .eps; .tif; .gif; .png; .jpg. Color profiles include CMYK; Pantone (PMS); Indexed and RGB. If you need a file in a format not listed here, please let us know and we will do our best to create that version for you as well.

How do I know things will look the same in print as they do on screen?

At Project Logo, we do our best to create logo art that will reproduce consistently across a range of applications. However, as good as our efforts may be, monitor quality, browsers, personal printers, and professional printers can impact reproduction consistency. In making final color selections, we will make sure that the production quality is consitent as possible across platforms and reproduction methods. In many cases, you will have to serve as the production quality control manager of the final online and print applications.

How do I trademark my new logo?

Creating a new, distinctive logo for your company is our primary emphasis here at Project Logo. We do our best to create a custom-designed logo that will serve you well for years to come. In some cases, you may want to protect your new investment by trademarking the artwork to protect it as something uniquely yours. Can I talk with a living, breathing person or can we only correspond via email?

For us, the most efficient method of communication is via email. It ensures that we have documented correspondence that details exactly what was requested and the answers that were given. That being said, we are also available via telephone if email just won’t do. It’s also possible that we may need to call you to clarify a point or check up on your project’s progress.
